Whoever said children are not small adults never met Troi. Delightfully well-mannered, with a great sense of humor and a way of tilting her head just right to let you know she’s listening, Troi is engaging in a way few master before adulthood. Upon meeting Troi its instantly clear you are in the presence of a star. At the tender age of five, Troi announced to her parents she wanted to start a business, and Planet Troi, a website for young children to share videos and their talents, was born.

Troi Zee’s acting career began at age 3 with the Children’s Theatre Company in New York City. Additional credits include Sesame Street, PBS Kids, Reading Rainbow, Nickelodeon and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. In 2010 Troi appeared in the role of “Ngana” in the national touring company of Lincoln Center’s Tony Award winning production of South Pacific; and in 2012 she completed the role of “Maya” in the independent film 1982, directed by Tommy Oliver, alongside legendary actor Ruby Dee and contemporary actor and author Hill Harper.

Also in 2012 Troi launched her career as a singer/songwriter and worked with noted R&B singer and producer, Angela Johnson, for her debut EP of original music titled, “Brooklyn Girl”. This Spring Troiinked a deal with Purpose Music Group, the label that will release “Brooklyn Girl” this Summer.

Troi has twice performed before more than 5,000 fans at Affinity Health Plan’s charitable Easter celebration in New York City as well as other charitable events hosted by Tuesday’s Children and the Make The Grade Foundation. Currently, Troi takes the lead in a television public service announcement regarding the importance of staying in school; and she has also recorded PSAs on school safety for “Doctor” Bob Lee of WBLS radio in New York City.

Schoolwork, sports, auditions, music lessons and studio time would exhaust most adults, but Troi, who doesn’t consider anything easy, but sees everything as worth a try, takes it all in stride. She is an honor student who loves school, is passionate about math, geology, enjoys playing soccer, participates in swimming and rock climbing, and considers herself a “bright and passionate leader.”
