Andrae Alexander is a best-selling author, teacher, composer, veteran of The

Marine Corps, and a former pianist in The United States Navy Band of Washington D.C.

Andrae is an internationally known musician who has worked with artists such as NeYo,

Kelly Rowland, K. Michelle, Meek Mills, Estelle, Common, and many others. His talent

as a multi-instrumentalist and expertise in many genres of music makes him a highly

sought after composer and musician.

 

As a composer, Andrae has worked on the soundtrack for Birth of a Nation with

Neyo on the song “Queen” and the song “Black Moses” with Meek Mills, Pusha T, and

Priscilla Renea; multiple songs for Fox’s show, Empire to include “Mona Lisa”,

featuring Kelly Rowland and “My Own Thang”; 2 songs on K. Michelle’s album, More

Issues Than Vogue and is featured in GLC and Kanye West’s video, “Big Screens”. Mr.

Alexander is also an actor on the web series, “Faux Show”, as Travis along with Tim

Bagley, Kim Coles, Erika Alexander and Scotch Ellis Loring. Andrae’s dynamic and

musically sophisticated jazz album, “Urban Yogi” will be released this February.
