PURPOSE MUSIC GROUP LLC is an all encompassing, full service, music-based content, entertainment company.
The foundation of Purpose is our management company. Our focus includes the management of producers, artists, songwriters, dj’s, and film directors. Purpose Records, our independent music label, was founded in 2001. Our initial goal was to provide an outlet for quality, adult orientated, soul music (Grown Folks Music). The label naturally evolved from the management company.
Our licensing department handles international and domestic master licenses, as well as TV and film synch licensing. viral marketing, alternative retail consulting, tour development, and talent buying.
The Purpose mission is to create, market, and expose quality adult oriented music in multiple genres including urban ac, soul, r&b, dance, jazz, singer-songwriter, and triple-A.
The current Purpose roster includes world famous DJ/producer DJ SPINNA, Soultracks.com award winning album and song of the year recipient, singer/songwriter/producer and multi-instrumentalist ANGELA JOHNSON, multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriters MONET and SHAE FIOL, Grammy nominee singer/songwriter ANTHONY DAVID, Neo Soul duo KINDRED THE FAMILY SOUL & Tony award nominee ELISABETH WITHERS.
We are happy to announce that we are now consulting 2x Grammy award winning producers SHANNON SANDERS and DREW RAMSEY.
The Purpose Music Group was founded and is co-owned by RUSSELL JOHNSON and GEORGE LITTLEJOHN.
